The closer it gets to Friday, on which I'm flying to Paris, the crazier the day gets. However, it helps showing me the most crucial apps I use for a typical business day. I guess I only use the rest of the apps for entertaining or informational purposes esp. when I have some free time. But we'll get to that later.

So after day 04, the home screen remains unchanged. But there're a few apps were removed in later pages. They are:

• Bloomberg: well, I'm not gonna use it in the near future until my stocks show some potential
• Dictionary.com: actually, when I think of a Dictionary app, it's critical to be QUICK. Dictionary.com, however, is still retrieving its data from the cloud, which makes it slow. And I've never got that much patience.
• Foursquare: This app is indeed, kinda hot lately in the net as a mean to explore the city you're in based on recommendations from ppl who were there before. Unfortunately, I decide where to go barely by my "real" friends' recommendation, and we use telephone to communicate, not Foursquare. Sorry!
• Todo: I used to use this app a lot until I got my hands on SimpleNote. And having Todo lie there doing nothing is kinda wasting my screen's space
• Wikipanion: thought I'm gonna wikiing a lot on the go when I don't know about something. Apparently, I can always wait until I got back to my 2 laptops either at work or at home. So there you go!

In short, I'm left with 12 apps on the homescreen. 17 apps were removed out of the 50 ones on the starting day of this project. I'm excited to see how this will be changed in the next few days, esp. when I'm in Paris and will probably not use the phone so much for the phoning thingy

Day 03 was even a more hectic day compared to day 02.

Again, most often used apps were Messages and Mail. I also moved SimpleNote and Phone down to the Dock as they're clearly were the runner up.

Only 01 new app was promoted to the homescreen today: PCalc Lite. It was quite handy when I forgot my calculator

If you look closely enough, you will see that I now only have 3 pages of apps. Indeed, I just deleted the Bluetooth Photo Share app. Initial thought was using it to exchange photos with other iPhone users. Turned out that it's never happened.

Anw, let's wait and see which are the last 4 apps that got promoted in my final home screen.

This is my home screen on day 02. Surprisingly, I only use 11 applications among the 50 ones that were installed.

I got around 50 applications installed on my iphone and sometimes I'm lost. I also started to realise that they're not really at the optimal position, i.e. most often used application should be right there under my finger tap and the not so often used ones should stay in a few pages later or even remove to reduce distraction. So I started this iphone homescreen clean-up project, part of my minimalism adaptation.

Free books. No strings.

I'm dead serious. There're a few books which have been gathering dust on my bookshelf for quite sometimes. I'm ashamed of that and I want to give them away to their new masters. Already gave away quite a few and below are the rest:

Moved by the movie ONCE on StarMovies. Followed this guy: Glen Hansard and got this pearl.
Actually I got goose bumps listening to the song. The passion, the heart, the soul expressed in the song did freeze me for a while.
Really, gonna leave my comfort zone ...
