Free must-have Mac softwares – XMind
One of the most often used softwares back in my time with M$ Windows is MindManager, the software that creates mind maps.
The latest version of MindManager is v.8 and it has most of the functionalities that (I think) an user can think of for a mind mapping software.
Một trong những phần mềm tôi hay dùng nhất hồi còn xài Windows là MindManager chuyên dùng để xây dựng các bản đồ tư duy.
MindManager bây giờ đã phát triển tới phiên bản 8 và hỗ trợ hầu hết những chức năng mà (tôi nghĩ rằng) người sử dụng có thể nghĩ ra cho một phần mềm xây dựng bản đồ tư duy.
Free must-have Mac softwares – App Cleaner
The description of this software on its home page:
AppCleaner is a small application which allows you to thoroughly uninstall unwanted apps.AppCleaner finds all these small files and safely deletes them.Simply drop an application onto the AppCleaner window. It will find for the related files and you can delete them by clicking the delete button.
I had used AppZapper before having my hand on AppCleaner. Switching to AppCleaner is easy since:
- AppZapper is a commercial software and I'm not willing to pay for it. AppCleaner, on the other hand, is a perfect free alternative.
- AppZapper is not as flexible as AppCleaner. AppCleaner can display all application and widgets and uninstall them directly right inside AppCleaner's window. AppZapper could never do that.

My Dell 640m died on a chilled spring evening not so long ago so I headed out and bought me a new laptop for my work. I picked the new Macbook Unibody and got hooked.
I've never been a fan of M$ but I gotta admit that ten years or more working in Windows makes me kinda depend on some Windows that aid a lot to my every day work and life. Thus, switching to Mac seems to be difficult at the first place. However, I've found some alternatives and the good thing is: most of them are free. Vào một buổi tối mùa xuân lành lạnh, Ruby ra đi. Ruby là thằng nhóc Dell 640m đã gắn bó với mình gần 3 năm trời. Vậy là phải lục đục đi mua laptop mới. Cân nhắc mãi, cuối cùng đã chọn mua em Macbook Unibody và càng ngày càng nghiện.
Mình trước giờ vốn không mặn mà lắm với M$ nhưng phải công nhận mười mấy năm làm việc trên Windows cũng có làm mình phụ thuộc vào một số phần mềm viết cho hệ điều hành này. Bởi vậy, cũng có đôi chút bỡ ngỡ lúc mới chuyển sang Mac OS X. May mắn là mình đã và đang tìm được một số phần mềm tương đương trên Mac (phần lớn là phần mềm miễn phí).
